1. What we collect
We collect information you provide directly, including account details, profile and resume content, job posts, cover letters, application notes, uploaded files, chat messages, template choices, billing status, and support messages.
We may also collect technical information such as device and browser details, IP address, pages viewed, approximate location inferred from network data, log events, error reports, and product usage information.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide the product, generate and improve CVs and cover letters, maintain your job tracker, process billing, secure the service, debug errors, respond to support requests, and understand how the product is used.
We may use product data to evaluate and improve our AI systems, compare model performance, develop future hiring and verification products, and conduct research into more transparent applicant-recruiter workflows. We aim to use aggregated, de-identified, or minimized data for research and product development where practical.
If a future product requires a meaningfully different use of identifiable career data, we will provide appropriate notice and controls before using that data for the new purpose.
3. AI providers and subprocessors
Weisscollar uses third-party AI model providers, which may include OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and other AI APIs we test to compare quality, speed, safety, and cost. Content you submit may be sent to these providers to generate, classify, extract, score, or improve application materials.
We also use service providers for authentication, payments, hosting, observability, storage, support, and infrastructure. These providers process information on our behalf to operate the service.
You should avoid submitting highly sensitive information unless it is necessary for the application material you want Weisscollar to help with.
4. Hosting and storage
Our current production infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Data may also be processed by US-based or global vendors that support authentication, payments, AI generation, analytics, support, and security.
We retain account and product data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve safety, and support product development. Backup copies and security logs may persist for a limited period after deletion requests.
5. Security and incident response
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal information, but no online service can guarantee perfect security. If we determine that a security incident triggers a legal notification obligation, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.
More detail is available in our Data Security & Incident Response policy.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers, AI providers, payment processors, security and analytics tools, professional advisors, and authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
7. Your choices and rights
You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of your personal information. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Depending on where you live, including certain US states, you may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, or opt out of certain uses or sharing of personal information. To exercise privacy rights, email info@weisscollar.com.
8. Children
Weisscollar is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the service is designed for professional and career-related use.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the product, vendors, laws, or research direction changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users.
